Many of you know my story but for those of you who do not here it is...

August 2017 Ray, Shalen, Zoe and I packed up and moved across the country to California. I will alwys be a Jersey Girl but now I'm California Dreamin!!

Five months later I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Surprise! It was a very scary and overwhelming time. All my friends and family were back on the East Coast. I wasn’t quite sure what we were going to do. One day I remembered that Zoe and I had stopped at the Michelle’s Place table at a health fair. I knew where to go. The first time I walked in I cried, I learned about a great pizza place in town and I realized we were not alone. I haven’t left since. I received valuable information and resources. I was given a wig and some hats. My family received thanksgiving dinner and Christmas gifts. I can now say I have participated in everything Michelle’s Place has to offer. Support group, Art Class, Yoga, Reiki, Retreats and I started a Knitting and crochet group. I have made amazing friends. My full circle moment happened just last month, I am now on staff as the Volunteer Coordinator. Our volunteers are amazing!! They touch every client that walks through the door, physicallyand emotionally.

I know how difficult things are right now but any little bit helps. I truly know how important Michelle’s Place family is.
